NEEV is a transformative initiative by IIT Gandhinagar, dedicated to empowering women and youth through skill development, entrepreneurship, and livelihood opportunities. Since 2014, we have been creating impact across 40+ villages, equipping individuals with essential skills in sewing, beautician training, digital marketing, carpentry, and more.
What makes NEEV unique? Our programs go beyond training—we provide market linkages, mentorship, and real-world opportunities to turn skills into sustainable livelihoods. With strong partnerships and a community-driven approach, we have positively impacted over 6,000 lives.

Skill Development Programs
NEEV IIT Gandhinagar offers diverse skill development courses designed to empower individuals with the practical knowledge needed for sustainable livelihoods and professional growth. Our programs cover a wide range of fields, from technical skills to creative entrepreneurship, catering to the needs of both women and youth.
Entrepreneurship Development
NEEV IIT Gandhinagar’s Entrepreneurship Development programs are designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills to start and sustain their own businesses. These courses offer practical insights into idea generation, business planning, financial management, and marketing strategies.
Livelihood at NEEV
NEEV IIT Gandhinagar is committed to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, especially for women in rural communities. Through skill-building programs, we empower individuals to transform their talents into income-generating activities.
Skill Development: We offer training in stitching, beauty services, digital skills, and more to help individuals develop marketable skills.Artisanal Products: Women produce high-quality products like tote bags, curtains, and stoles, which are sold at various exhibitions and to corporate clients.

Women skill
Development
Includes courses like Sewing, Beautician, ToT in Sewing, Nail Art, Chocolate Candle Cake, Hair and Make-up specialist with many other Professional Training Courses.

Incudes Courses like Basic Computer, Data-Entry, Advance Excel Training, Social media graphic design, Tally Skills and real-world courses.

Our Student Voices
Vibhadevi Rajput from Palaj village transformed her life after completing the Sewing Course and Entrepreneurship program with NEEV.
Initially, she focused on sewing but later expanded to training others even hiring two women for support. She earns ₹30,000 - ₹40,000 monthly. She covers her shop rent and bills while paying her team ₹3,000–₹6,000 based on their work.

Usha Vaghela completed the Advanced Stitching Course and the Trainer's Training Course. Soon afterwards, she began stitching dresses, bags, blouses, salwar kurta and so on at the NEEV production unit, earning a monthly income of ₹8,000.
With this income, she purchased a sewing machine, mobile phone, and is able to cover her personal expenses independently. She also takes stitching work from her village.

Krunal Vaghela from Palaj attended the Entrepreneurship Program, which provided him with valuable training and mentoring into launching a business.
Post this, with handholding support from NEEV, he started with selling premium sportwear online, moving on to putting-up stalls at events, and now has his own sportswear shop in Sector-7, Gandhinagar making great strides in his entrepreneurial journey.
