Program Assistant I
Mamta Parekh is a dedicated professional at NEEV IIT Gandhinagar, playing a pivotal role in Sewing Training programs conducted in villages. With a deep commitment to empowering rural women, she leads the basic sewing training courses, helping participants develop essential skills for personal and professional use.
Through her efforts, Mamta has facilitated numerous women in learning the craft of sewing, enabling them to generate livelihoods and achieve financial independence. She works closely with the women, providing hands-on guidance and support as they master various aspects of sewing, from simple stitching to more advanced techniques. This skill-building empowers the women to not only enhance their lives but also contribute to their communities by offering valuable tailoring services.
In addition to her work with sewing training, Mamta conducts Menstrual Health Management (MHM) sessions for village women. These sessions aim to raise awareness and provide practical knowledge on menstrual hygiene, helping to address an often-overlooked aspect of women's health in rural areas. Mamta’s work plays a vital role in improving both the livelihoods and well-being of women in these communities, making her an integral part of NEEV’s mission to empower rural women through education and skill development.
