Soumya Harish is Senior Program Manager at NEEV, the community outreach division of IIT Gandhinagar, where she leads large-scale community development programs focused on women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and livelihoods.

She helped build NEEV from its conception to shaping its vision of empowering underserved communities to crafting its operations for highly efficient impact at the ground. Beyond a decade of building NEEV, in the past she has engaged with numerous other developmental projects and organisations. She was also the founding member who helped establish the daycare facility at IIT Gandhinagar, one of the first of its kind in the IIT system.

In her various pursuits, Soumya brings her unique blend of perspectives from her engineering background including a master’s degree in electrical engineering, developmental and public policy training at Syracuse University, volunteering at multiple impact-first organisations in US and India, and her passion for development and grassroots impact.
